The Town of Vegreville has 3 operational garbage trucks which service all of Vegreville. Each household is provided with a shared bin in the lane or a roll-out for those houses that do not have a lane. The Town is working quickly to supply every lane with a recycle bin and compost bin. The bins must be accessible to the garbage truck and all garbage must be inside the bin.
Please be respectful and mindful when disposing of garbage. Although they are "garbage" bins, they are meant for regular household waste only. Some items that cannot go into the bins, such as branches, logs, appliances, car parts, oil, concrete, dirt, propane bottles, etc. If you are in doubt about what can be placed in the bin, please contact the Public Works & Utilities Department or the Vegreville Sanitary Landfill.
We ask that you do not place garbage and objects next to or in front of the bins. The truck needs to get very close to the bin in order to pick it up.
