Vegreville Visitor Information Centre & Municipal Campground Now Open
Vegreville, AB (May 7, 2021) – Vegreville’s Visitor Information Center (VIC) opened for the season on Thursday, May 6th, 2021.
VIC staff will now be on site to assist residents and visitors with local, regional, and provincial travel plans every Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Thursday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.

In 2020, even amid the COVID-19 pandemic, over 21,000 people visited the Vegreville Elks/Kinsmen Park - home to the World’s Largest Pysanka. Meantime, VIC staff safely assisted over 6,000 visitors while a total of nearly 600 nights were booked the Vegreville Municipal Campground.

The ‘VIC’ is located in Vegreville Elks/Kinsmen Park, which features the World’s Largest Pysanka, beautifully paved walking paths circling the scenic Elks Pond, a playground & outdoor fitness equipment as well as a serviced campground (including a sani-dump station) and public washrooms. Stop by and ask about the Free Borrow-A-Bike program and, coming in June 2021, a chance to ‘Paddle Under the Pysanka’ with Paddle Boats.
