Councillor Jerrold Lemko

Councillor Lemko was elected to Vegreville Council in 2017 and is currently serving his first term. He has called Vegreville home for the past forty-five years and has always been an active member of his community. Jerrold endeavours to make a difference in Vegreville by trying to understand people’s challenges and striving to improve their quality of life.   

 Jerrold and his wife Anita have resided in Vegreville for the past forty-three years, married in 1977, they have two children and four grandchildren. Jerrold and Anita enjoy connecting with their community, travelling, camping with their grandchildren, and gardening. 

Councillor Lemko spent his entire career as an employee for ATCO Electric Ltd, retiring after forty years of service. He was also a Volunteer Firefighter and served as the Town’s Volunteer Fire Chief for eighteen of his twenty-five years of service. 

Jerrold is still actively involved with his passion for firefighting by serving as the Secretary and Director-at-Large for the Volunteer Firefighters of Canada Association. He stays connected to his community acting as the Vice-Chair for the local KidSport organization and the Chairman of the Trustees for the Vegreville Alliance Church.
