Town of Vegreville Launches New 24-Hour Municipal Enforcement Complaint Line
Vegreville, AB (January 10, 2024) – The Town of Vegreville has signed on with the Yellowhead Regional Emergency Communications Centre (YRECC) to provide dispatching services and streamline the process for Vegreville residents to register complaints with the Town’s Municipal Enforcement Team.
The YRECC is based out of Edson and provides 9-1-1 and dispatching services to over 60,000 residents in the region.
Effective immediately, residents looking to register complaints with Vegreville’s Municipal Enforcement by phone must call 587-790-1294. This number is toll-free and answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
In March 2024, Fire Services will also be dispatched through the YRECC and will be the Town’s new 9-1-1 provider, taking over the current agreement from Strathcona County.

This new service will provide our residents with a 24/7 point of contact for their needs, ensuring calls for service are dispatched to our officers in a timely and efficient manner. The benefits of working with the YRECC are numerous as in addition to taking our calls for service, the call centre will check in regularly with our officers, looking out for their safety and well-being while ensuring vital lines of radio communication remain open.”
