Town of Vegreville Supports Lakeland Cup with Local Sports & Event Hosting Grant

The Town of Vegreville is pleased to award the Vegreville Minor Soccer Association with a $1,500 Local Sports & Event Hosting Grant ahead of its hosting of the Lakeland Cup this weekend.

 

Beginning Friday, June 12, the tournament will welcome 18 teams from across the region in the U15, U17, and U19 divisions, with a total of 32 games scheduled through Sunday, June 14.

 

Events like the Lakeland Cup play an important role in supporting Vegreville’s local economy by bringing visiting teams, families, spectators, and officials to the community — helping drive activity at local hotels, restaurants, gas stations, and businesses.
