Snow removal is an important priority for the Town. Our Public Works department endeavors to keep our roads safe by removing snow and sanding as required.

We all play a role in snow removal in Vegreville. To ensure safe, effective, and complete removal of snow, residents are asked to avoid parking on roads designated for snow removal.

Removal in order of priority

Main arteries and emergency routes
School zones, assisted living complexes, and seniors complexes
Residential areas, alternating daily between the north-side to the south-side of the Town
Vegreville Airport, as time and resources permit; and
Back alleys are cleared when equipment and operators are available

6AM start:

50 Street from 55 Avenue to CN tracks
Birch Avenue from 50 Street to Highway 857
50 Street from 55 Avenue to 61 Avenue

Time permitting (Yellow):

58 Avenue from Birch Avenue to 50 Street

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2025
The following roads are designated for snow removal on Tuesday, December 9, 2025:

6AM start:

50 Street from 48 Avenue to 45 Avenue
49 Street from Highway 16A to 45 Avenue
48 Street from Highway 16A to 45 Avenue
45 Avenue from 48 Street to 50 Street

Time permitting (Yellow):

45 Avenue from 50 Street to Maple Street

MONDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2025
The following roads are designated for snow removal on Monday, December 8, 2025:

43 Street from Highway 16A to 56B Avenue
44 Street from 55 Avenue to 54A Avenue
54A Avenue from 43 Street to 50 Street

The following roads are tentatively designated for snow removal on Monday, December 8, 2025 (Time Permitting):
