Snow Removal

The roadways listed below have the greatest impact on travel and emergency response and are therefore cleared first. When a new snowfall results in additional accumulation, these priority routes will take precedence and be completed again before crews move on to residential streets and secondary roads.

Removal in order of priority  

• Main arteries and emergency routes
• School zones, assisted living complexes, and seniors complexes
• Residential areas, alternating daily between the north-side to the south-side of the Town
• Vegreville Airport, as time and resources permit; and
• Back alleys are cleared when equipment and operators are available

Keep tabs here for the latest on designated snow removal routes throughout the season. Please note, planned routes can change without notice due to a sudden change in weather conditions. 

To ensure safe, effective, and complete removal of snow, residents are asked to avoid parking on roads designated for snow removal.

The following roads are designated for snow removal on Wednesday, March 18, 2026:

6AM Start:

• 49 Street from 44 Avenue to Cul-de-sac
• 49A Street from 45 Avenue to 42 Avenue
• 48 Avenue from 52 Street to 54 Street up to 55 Avenue

Please Note: While vehicles and equipment cannot be kept on public roads for more than 72 consecutive hours, to ensure safe, effective, and complete removal of snow, residents are asked to avoid parking on roads designated for snow removal.
