NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Road Closure Bylaw No. 06-2026
Monday, April 13, 2026 | 6:30 PM

 
In accordance with the Municipal Government Act, Town Council will hold a Public Hearing to consider Second and Third Readings of Proposed Bylaw No. 06-2026. The hearing will take place in Council Chambers at the Town of Vegreville Administration Building.

PURPOSE OF BYLAW 06-2026
The purpose of the proposed bylaw is to close a portion of a public roadway (lane) located:

• South of Lot 5, Block X, Plan 872 1040; and
• East of Lot 9, Block X, Plan 982 4899
  

 

PUBLIC HEARING DETAILS
Council will hear submissions from any person who believes they may be affected by the proposed road closure.

Written submissions must be received no later than: 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 9, 2026

Submissions may be provided:

• In person at the Town Administration Office, 4829 – 50 Street, Vegreville; or
• By email to ipd@vegreville.com

The Public Hearing will be held in Council Chambers, located on the north side of the Administration Building. The hearing is open to the public.

Individuals wishing to address Council during the Public Hearing must register in advance by the submission deadline noted above.

The hearing will also be livestreamed via the Town of Vegreville’s YouTube channel. A link to the meeting will be available on the Town’s website on April 13, 2026.
