Mayor MacPhee Receives '1st Poppy' from Royal Canadian Legion Branch #39
On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, Mayor MacPhee received the ‘1st Poppy’ of the local Poppy Campaign from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #39.
The ‘1st Poppy’ was presented by Branch President, Terry Kuzyk and Poppy Chair, Heather Short. This marks the start of the 2025 local campaign with poppies available for purchase around Vegreville.
Donations collected during the Poppy Campaign are held in Trust at the branch level to directly support Veterans and their families within their community and to help ensure Canadians ‘never forget’.
