Half-Masting Notice: National Day of Mourning

The Town of Vegreville will lower all municipal flags to half-mast on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in recognition of the National Day of Mourning for persons killed or injured in the workplace.

This day serves as a time to remember and honour those who have lost their lives or been injured as a result of workplace tragedies. It is also an opportunity to renew our collective commitment to health and safety, and to preventing further workplace injuries, illnesses, and fatalities.

We encourage all residents to take a moment to reflect and recognize the importance of safety in every workplace.
