Town of Vegreville Awards Local Sports & Event Hosting Grant to Vegreville Bunnock Association

The Town of Vegreville Council is pleased to award a $1,500 Local Sports & Event Hosting Grant to the Vegreville Bunnock Association in support of its annual tournament taking place July 17–19, 2026, at the Vegreville Agricultural Society Grounds.

The tournament has attracted 35 registered teams from across Alberta and beyond, bringing competitors and visitors to the community for a weekend of competition and camaraderie.

The Local Sports & Event Hosting Grant program supports organizations that host events in Vegreville, helping attract visitors, enhance community vibrancy, and contribute to local economic activity.

Council congratulates the Vegreville Bunnock Association and wishes all participants a successful tournament weekend.
