Public Notice: Vermilion River Potential Flooding

Residents are advised to avoid all access points along the Vermilion River, particularly in the Kinsmen Park area, due to a potential flooding risk this weekend.

Alberta Environment has indicated that water levels are currently rising and may lead to flooding if levels increase by an additional 30–40 cm.

This situation is influenced by recent snowfall combined with forecasted warmer temperatures, which may accelerate runoff.

For your safety:

• Avoid riverbanks and low-lying areas
• Stay clear of Kinsmen Park and surrounding access points
• Use caution when near any waterways
