Fitness Classes

Guidelines:

  • Payment must be made at time of registration
  • Registration can be done at the front desk of the Recreation Centre or call 780-632-6403 
  • Classes have a drop-in rate of $8.45
  • There are now 10-punch passes for fitness classes (can be used for any class) for $79.70
  • Course ID is required for registration 

*All Fitness Classes require payment, Par-Q+ and Waiver signed when participating. Par-Q+ records are required to be updated annually.* 

Registration is due the first day of programming. Missed the registration periods? The Fitness Classes accept Drop-in's or you can purchase a 10 Punch Fitness Pass!


Fitness Programs


Program: Lunch Crunch (Session 2)

Location: Vegreville Rec Centre, Studio

Date/Time: January 5 - February 27, Mon/Wed/Fri, 12:10 - 12:50 pm

Description: Lunch Crunch is a condensed boot camp style class. Utilizing Tabata, HIIT and circuit training to increase and endurance. All on your lunch break!

Fees: $120 for 24 classes 


Program: Kettlebell AM

Location: Vegreville Recreation Centre, Studio (upstairs)

Date: Jan 20 - Feb 26, Tuesdays/Thursdays

Time: 6:15 am - 7:00 am

Description: Start your morning strong with a fun, energizing full-body kettlebell class. You’ll build strength, stability, mobility and coordination through squats, hinges, presses, and swings. (optional dumbbell modification) All levels welcome, no experience needed.

Fees: $8.45 Drop-in (Punch Pass accepted)


Program: Step Up - Please note: February 25 class is cancelled

Location: Vegreville Recreation Centre, Studio (upstairs)

Date: Feb 4 - Feb 25, Wednesdays

Time: 6:15 pm - 7:00 pm

Description: Get energized with a fun, full-body step workout set to upbeat hit music. You’ll combine rhythmic stepping with strength moves like squats and lunges to build strength, burn calories, and boost confidence. All levels welcome, plenty of options provided for our first timers or seasoned steppers!

Program: Kettlebell PM

Location: Vegreville Recreation Centre, Studio (upstairs)

Date: Feb 6 - Feb 27, Fridays

Time: 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm

Description: Had a long day? Burn it out in this high-energy, full-body kettlebell class. Expect squats, hinges, presses, and swings that build strength, mobility, stability, and coordination while you sweat, move, and reset. (Optional dumbbell modification.) All levels welcome.

Fees: $8.45 Drop-in (Punch Pass accepted)

Fitness Orientations

Occasional Fitness Orientations are held by the Recreation department. These orientations allow new gym equipment users to be confident, capable, and safe while working out. Please watch for Youth and Adult Fitness Orientations that are being held or reach out to our staff at the Aquatic and Fitness Centre for more information at 780-632-6403.
