Town Council Welcomes Manitoba Parents for Ukrainian Education

On Friday, May 29, 2026, the Town of Vegreville and Town Council welcomed representatives from Manitoba Parents for Ukrainian Education (MPUE) during their visit to the community.

MPUE is a non-profit, volunteer organization made up of parents, students, and community members who support and advocate for the English-Ukrainian Bilingual Program (EUBP) in Manitoba. The organization works to promote, enhance, and expand opportunities for students to learn and preserve the Ukrainian language and culture.

Working closely with educators and school administrators, MPUE supports students and families through advocacy, educational initiatives, cultural programming, and community outreach. The organization also coordinates inter-school field trips and participates in major cultural events throughout Manitoba.

Council was pleased to welcome MPUE to Vegreville and recognizes the important role the organization plays in preserving Ukrainian language, culture, and traditions for future generations.
