Vegreville Martial Arts
Description: Vegreville Martial Arts offers a variety of structured programs designed to cater to different age groups and skill levels. Their curriculum focuses on the traditional art of Tae Kwon Do, emphasizing physical fitness, self-defense, and character development.

Vegreville Recreation Centre
Description: The Vegreville Aquatic and Fitness Centre boasts a wide array of amenities including a whirlpool, dry sauna, 25-meter lane pool, toddler area, diving board, rock climbing wall, water slide, and the Wibit. With offerings such as aquafit, swim lessons, private pool rentals, fitness classes and various fitness facilities including a dance studio, weight room, cardio room, and racquetball/squash court, the Recreation Centre provides comprehensive options for individuals and families seeking recreation and wellness activities.

Legacy 4 Health
Description: A welcoming indoor walking program provides a safe and comfortable place to stay active. Participants can enjoy a protected walking environment with access to chairs for rest, washrooms, and water. The program is especially popular with seniors but is open to anyone who would benefit from a safe indoor space to walk and exercise.

Description: The Vegreville Agricultural Society hosts a variety of community events suitable for the entire family, providing opportunities for entertainment, education, and engagement within the local community.

Vegreville & District FCSS
Description: Vegreville & District Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) is dedicated to enhancing community well-being through locally driven social initiatives, focusing on identifying root causes of social issues, fostering inclusion, and building resilience. With a diverse range of programs spanning various categories including information and referral, education and awareness, and support for children, youth, adults, and seniors, Vegreville & District FCSS collaborates with other community organizations to encourage growth and address community needs effectively.

The BASE
Description: The BASE is a welcoming space for youth ages 12-24 to connect, grow, and have fun. We offer free programs, drop-in times, mentorship, and engaging activities that support well-being, creativity, and leadership. Snacks are always provided, and transportation support is available when needed.

Kalyna Family Resource Network Spoke - Veg & Area
Description: The Kalyna Family Resource Network Spoke provides invaluable support and services tailored to children, teenagers, caregivers, and families, offering diverse programs and opportunities that foster resilience, social connections, and social-emotional competence. Through access to developmental knowledge and parenting strategies, parents and caregivers benefit from resources that empower them in nurturing their children's growth and well-being.

Kalyna Family Resource Network (FRN)
Description: The Kalyna Family Resource Network (FRN) serves as the central hub for family empowerment, connecting individuals to a network of supportive spokes across various areas, including Vegreville & Area, Lamont County, Two Hills, Manville, Minburn, Innisfree, and WJS. With a focus on enhancing family well-being and resilience, the Kalyna FRN provides essential information, referral services, and community resources to strengthen connections and support the growth of children, youth, caregivers, and families in navigating life's challenges effectively.

Taproot Community Support Services
Description: Taproot Community Support Services offers two free, voluntary programs to support families. The Family Resilience Program provides personalized assistance for families with children ages 7 to 18, helping parents strengthen skills, manage stress, and enhance family well-being through in-home, community, or phone support. It focuses on communication, conflict resolution, behavioral challenges, mental health, and more. The Caring Families Program, part of Alberta’s Family Resource Networks, offers home-based parenting education and support for expectant parents and families with children up to age six. This early intervention program promotes healthy child development and is tailored to each family's needs. Both programs are accessible through self-referrals or partner organizations.

Taproot Community Support Services - Foster Care
Description: Taproot Community Support Services' Foster Care Program provides more than just housing—it creates a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children and youth can thrive while embracing their culture and diversity. We seek compassionate and dedicated caregivers who are committed to supporting children’s unique needs, celebrating cultural identity, and fostering connections with biological families when appropriate. Foster caregivers must meet specific qualifications, including background checks, a valid driver’s license, First Aid certification, and a willingness to participate in ongoing training. By opening your home and heart, you can make a lasting difference in a child’s life.

Veg Al-Drug Society
Description: The Veg Al-Drug Society is an outpatient treatment office in Vegreville, serving the Counties of Minburn, Two Hills, and Lamont. We support youth, adults, and families dealing with substance use, concurrent disorders, and gambling behaviors. Our Recovery Coach, with lived experience in addictions and mental health, offers mentorship, support, referrals, and coaching through flexible hours and travel across all three counties. Additionally, we provide addiction prevention and mental health education in schools and collaborate with community organizations to develop resources and services tailored to community needs.

Community Association for Lasting Success (CALS)
Description: CALS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a community where every child can reach their full potential. For 25 years, CALS has provided preventative, early intervention, and educational programs to support families and enhance child development in Vegreville and nearby areas. Key programs include the Head Start Program, which offers early education for at-risk children aged 3 to 5 at no cost; the Family Literacy Program, which empowers parents as their child’s first teacher; the Breakfast Club, a free school snack program funded by donations; and the Little Explorers Summer Program, which provides educational and recreational activities for young children.

Vegreville Men’s Shed
Description: Vegreville Men's Shed is a community where men come together to combat isolation through various activities, including working on projects, playing cards and darts, and contributing to community initiatives. The group fosters mental health support through “health by stealth” and volunteers with other non-profits to assist in fundraising efforts. Affiliated with Men’s Sheds Canada and Men’s Sheds Alberta, the organization provides valuable guidance and support to its members while promoting camaraderie and well-being.

KidSport Vegreville
Description: KidSport Vegreville is a local organization dedicated to providing children in the community with the opportunity to participate in sports by offering financial assistance for registration fees and equipment. By removing financial barriers, KidSport ensures that all kids, regardless of their economic situation, can experience the benefits of active living, teamwork, and personal growth through sports. Through community support and fundraising efforts, KidSport Vegreville aims to help kids develop important life skills while fostering a love for physical activity.

Senior Citizens Sunshine Club of Vegreville
Description: The Senior Citizens Sunshine Club provides a vibrant and welcoming space for seniors, families, and friends to connect and enjoy a variety of activities. With a focus on fostering community and companionship, the club offers engaging events that promote socialization, well-being, and fun for all participants. Whether through games, outings, or special gatherings, the club creates a warm, inclusive environment where everyone feels at home.

Awaken Events
Description: Awaken Events creates welcoming experiences that bring people together through activities such as intuitive drum circles, relaxing sound baths, psychic fairs, and community markets. These events are designed to encourage connection, mindfulness, and community engagement while offering a fun way to meet like-minded people.

Alberta Brain Injury Network
Description: The Alberta Brain Injury Network supports adults living with acquired brain injuries in Vegreville, Lamont, and the surrounding areas. The network provides resources, programs, and connections to help individuals and their families navigate daily challenges, improve quality of life, and stay engaged with their communities.
