Description: VegMin Learning has been dedicated to promoting lifelong learning among adults in the Town of Vegreville, Manville and the County of Minburn for 50 years. We strive to offer accessible, flexible, and affordable learning opportunities, removing barriers to education. We help build basic skills in math, literacy, technology, English language and support individuals in getting their Highschool Equivalency (C.A.E.C)
Vegreville Preschool
Description: Vegreville Preschool is a play-based, inclusive early childhood program that aims to prepare children for life-long learning, individually and as part of a community of learners. We offer preschool programs for children 3 to 5 years of age. 1/2 days programs, full day programs and 5 days per week programs.

Vegreville and District Youth Curling
Description: Join our fantastic learn-to-curl program for kids aged 7-11, led by our volunteers. We emphasize skill development and enjoyable on-ice activities.
Kids will have access to a complete set of brooms, sliders, and grippers. Just bring a pair of running shoes!
Vegreville Bowling Lanes
Description: 5 pin bowling, Fun, Friends, Exercise at Vegreville Bowling Lanes. Give a new sport a try!
Vegreville Martial Arts
Description: Vegreville Martial Arts offers a variety of structured programs designed to cater to different age groups and skill levels. Their curriculum focuses on the traditional art of Tae Kwon Do, emphasizing physical fitness, self-defense, and character development.
Legacy 4 Health
Description: A welcoming indoor walking program provides a safe and comfortable place to stay active. Participants can enjoy a protected walking environment with access to chairs for rest, washrooms, and water. The program is especially popular with seniors but is open to anyone who would benefit from a safe indoor space to walk and exercise.
Vegreville School of Ballet
Description: Acro, Ballet, Cheer, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap and more for all ages with qualified and experienced instructors.
The Studio
Description: The Studio is a welcoming dance, fitness, and wellness space offering programs for all ages and abilities. From dance and movement to strength, yoga, and fitness, we’re focused on building confidence, community, and a love for movement.
Vegreville Wildlife Federation
Description: Providing information on Conservation, Education , Hunting, Fishing, Archery Youth Archery Lessons (limited spots, starting date to be determined) Firearms Range Membership affiliated with Alberta Wildlife Federation/ Alberta Target Archers Association Membership Fees: Youth Membership (Under 18): $30.00 (Archery Fees are separate) Regular Membership: $70.00 Family Membership: $85.00 (Includes main holder, spouse, and children under 18 living in the same household) Associate Membership: $85.00 (For those who wish to support the club but do not require full access to facilities) Range Key Holder Memberships Includes access to the VWF gun range (with valid PAL). A non-refundable key fee of $100 applies in addition to the membership fee. Regular Keyholder Membership: $70 + $100 = $170.00 Family Keyholder Membership: $85 + $100 = $185.00 Please note: All memberships expire on April 30 each year.
Vegreville Lasers Swim Club
Description: The Vegreville Lasers Swim Club provides a supportive and inclusive competitive swimming program for youth in our community. We focus on developing swimming skills, confidence, sportsmanship, and a love of the sport through quality coaching, regular practices, and opportunities to participate in swim meets throughout Alberta.
Trills Music Studio
Description: Piano instruction for all ages. Private, semi-private, and small group classes. In home, studio and daytime lessons at St Martin’s school and St Mary’s school. Daytime lessons for homeschoolers. Also offering ensemble vocal instruction at St Mary’s and at Trills Music studio for grades 7-12. Call for more info. Svitlo Ukrianian Dancers (Vegreville Academy of Ukrainian Dance)
Description: To teach, preserve and promote the heritage and culture of Ukrainian dance to children 3 years of age up to 18 years of age.

Description: Training in the sport and art of fencing. Ages 10 and up including adults.
Vegreville Skating Club
Description: Building skills, confidence & a love of skating in Vegreville. From first steps on the ice to STARSkate. Proud Skate Canada community club.
Vegreville & District FCSS
Description: Vegreville & District Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) is dedicated to enhancing community well-being through locally driven social initiatives, focusing on identifying root causes of social issues, fostering inclusion, and building resilience. With a diverse range of programs spanning various categories including information and referral, education and awareness, and support for children, youth, adults, and seniors, Vegreville & District FCSS collaborates with other community organizations to encourage growth and address community needs effectively.
The BASE
Description: The BASE is a welcoming space for youth ages 12-24 to connect, grow, and have fun. We offer free programs, drop-in times, mentorship, and engaging activities that support well-being, creativity, and leadership. Snacks are always provided, and transportation support is available when needed.
Kalyna Family Resource Network Spoke - Veg & Area
Description: The Kalyna Family Resource Network Spoke provides invaluable support and services tailored to children, teenagers, caregivers, and families, offering diverse programs and opportunities that foster resilience, social connections, and social-emotional competence. Through access to developmental knowledge and parenting strategies, parents and caregivers benefit from resources that empower them in nurturing their children's growth and well-being.
Kalyna Family Resource Network (FRN)
Description: The Kalyna Family Resource Network (FRN) serves as the central hub for family empowerment, connecting individuals to a network of supportive spokes across various areas, including Vegreville & Area, Lamont County, Two Hills, Manville, Minburn, Innisfree, and WJS. With a focus on enhancing family well-being and resilience, the Kalyna FRN provides essential information, referral services, and community resources to strengthen connections and support the growth of children, youth, caregivers, and families in navigating life's challenges effectively.
Taproot Community Support Services
Description: Family Resilience Program: Providing Support for caregivers with children ages 0-18 years of age. This program is to increase the family’s skills, knowledge and abilities to manage day-to-day parental stressors and to enhance each family’s ability to care for their children. Branching Out Program: Providing 1-1 Support for Youth 12-25 years of age. This program is designed to support youth who often face multiple risk factors that affect their well-being and ability to remain engaged in healthy developmental pathways. Rooted Beginnings Program: Providing support to parents to ensure Infants and Children 0-12 are progressing towards physical, social and emotional milestones. The program is designed to ensure families have adequate support and resources to reach the milestones. Caring Families Program: This program provides in-home parenting education and family support services to parents during their pregnancy and with children 0-6 years of age. Families are provided with information on child development, childcare and other aspects of positive family functioning and provide support to help improve and enhance parenting skills and provide a safe, nurturing environment for children.
Community Association for Lasting Success (CALS)
Description: CALS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a community where every child can reach their full potential. For 25 years, CALS has provided preventative, early intervention, and educational programs to support families and enhance child development in Vegreville and nearby areas. Key programs include the Head Start Program, which offers early education for at-risk children aged 3 to 5 at no cost; the Family Literacy Program, which empowers parents as their child’s first teacher; the Breakfast Club, a free school snack program funded by donations; and the Little Explorers Summer Program, which provides educational and recreational activities for young children.
Vegreville Men’s Shed
Description: Vegreville Men's Shed is a community where men come together to combat isolation through various activities, including working on projects, playing cards and darts, and contributing to community initiatives. The group fosters mental health support through “health by stealth” and volunteers with other non-profits to assist in fundraising efforts. Affiliated with Men’s Sheds Canada and Men’s Sheds Alberta, the organization provides valuable guidance and support to its members while promoting camaraderie and well-being.
Awaken Events
Description: Awaken Events creates welcoming experiences that bring people together through activities such as intuitive drum circles, relaxing sound baths, psychic fairs, and community markets. These events are designed to encourage connection, mindfulness, and community engagement while offering a fun way to meet like-minded people.
Alberta Brain Injury Network
Description: The Alberta Brain Injury Network supports adults living with acquired brain injuries in Vegreville, Lamont, and the surrounding areas. The network provides resources, programs, and connections to help individuals and their families navigate daily challenges, improve quality of life, and stay engaged with their communities.
Vegreville Centennial Library
Description: The Vegreville Library serves as a welcoming community hub, offering a wide range of programs and resources for residents of all ages. Its mission is to act as "Vegreville's Community Living Room," a comfortable, inclusive space where people can connect, learn, and gather. The library provides traditional services such as access to physical books, eBooks, audiobooks, free Wi-Fi, public computers, printing, and scanning. Beyond these core offerings, it places a strong emphasis on community connection through regular programming. This includes story times for children, social groups like Coffee and Conversation for adults, craft sessions, seasonal events, and partnerships with local organizations to offer culturally diverse and engaging activities. Guided by its Plan of Service for 2025 to 2029, the library aims to expand its hours, enhance its programs, and strengthen community partnerships. Ultimately, the library is more than a place to borrow books. It is a dynamic space where ideas, people, and knowledge come together to support and enrich the community.
Friends of the Vegreville Centennial Library Society
Description: The Friends of the Vegreville Centennial Library Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing the Vegreville Centennial Library through fundraising, volunteerism, advocacy, and community partnerships. We help fund library programs, equipment, special projects, and community initiatives while promoting literacy, lifelong learning, and meaningful connections for people of all ages. At community events, we're here to meet and connect with community members, share information about our current initiatives, projects, and volunteer opportunities, welcome new members, and grow our volunteer base. We enjoy hearing ideas from the community and building partnerships that help strengthen the library as a welcoming hub for learning, creativity, and connection for everyone.
Create the Ripple Homeschool Collective
Description: We believe homeschooling is strengthened by community, and we strive to create opportunities for children and parents to build meaningful relationships as they explore a wide range of educational, recreational, and social experiences. Our activities include regular meet-ups, special events, workshops, guest presenters, field trips, service projects, and collaborative learning opportunities. Families are welcome to participate in as much or as little as they choose, creating a flexible and inclusive environment that respects each family's unique homeschooling journey.
Lakeland Employment Services
Description: Lakeland Employment Services provide free services such as Resume and Cover Letter development, weekly workshops that cover topics such as Interview Skills, Interview Questions, Setting Goals and Boundaries and Resume Development. Job Board for all to see what available jobs there in a local communities. Laptops for those needing to look for work online, apply online or attend online interviews. Print copies of your resumes and cover letters.
EmployAbilities North
Description: EmployAbilities North provides free employment services for people with disabilities. We help Job Seekers to: a) Explore their unique strengths and abilities; b) Identify what you’re good at and plan a career path that suits you; c) With money for work clothes, boots, or other work-related gear for starting your new job, if eligible; d) Obtain short training courses to increase your chances at landing the job, if eligible; e) Support you with your job search including creating a great resume; f) Share information about what jobs are available; g) Provide short-term job coaching after you get a job to help you succeed, if needed; h) Access disability related employment supports. EmployAbilities empowers individuals with disabilities and employment barriers through skill development, education, and meaningful work, enabled by strong partnerships with employers, community, and government.
Natural Lifestyle (Seventh-day Adventist)
Description: The Natural Lifestyle classes offer a variety of programs designed to give practical information to improve one's health. Right now, we are offering a seven week vegetarian cooking class. The curriculum provides recipes, dietary and health information, with cooking demonstrations, emphasizing keys to enhance physical health, information on a vegetarian diet, all in a pleasant, information sharing environment. It is sponsored by the Vegreville Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Description: After school youth program for early dismissal Wednesdays. The fall program includes a study of Canada along with relevant bible stories, crafts, games and singing.
Vegreville Rotary Interact Club
Description: Rotary Interact is a club made up of students grades 9-12 from Vegreville and surrounding areas! We meet monthly to plan volunteer opportunities, community projects, and fundraisers, with the effort to make a positive difference in our community. Through our fundraising and planning efforts, we send students to Belize, working with local Interact clubs to build playgrounds at schools, spreading new opportunities to children all over the world! Anyone from grades 9-12 is welcome to join, as we are all brought together by our love of volunteering and inspiration to make a positive difference in our community and the world we share.

Description: Royal Canadian Air Cadets is a free national youth program for ages 12 to 18 that builds leadership, citizenship, and physical fitness while introducing young people to aviation, outdoor survival, and many other opportunities.
Lakeland Centre for FASD / Prairie Central FASD Network
Description: FASD wrap-around supports (education, training, employment, mentorship, counselling, court support, transition, summer camp, mocktail events, resource navigation, etc.)
Description: The Vegreville Food Bank supports individuals and families in the community by providing emergency food hampers and essential food items to those experiencing food insecurity. It relies on donations and community support to help ensure local residents have access to nutritious food when they need it most.
