Half-Masting Notice: Firefighters' National Memorial Day

The Town of Vegreville will lower all municipal flags to half-mast on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in recognition of Firefighters’ National Memorial Day.

This day honours and remembers the brave firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty while protecting our communities. It is also a time to recognize the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of all firefighters who continue to serve.

Residents are encouraged to take a moment to reflect and pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.

Together, we remember. Together, we honour their service and sacrifice.
